Eugene de Beauhamais
(China Hybrid, 1838) – rich crimson purple. Eugene has a wonderful fragrance, some winter hardiness and the ability to
bloom in part shade, but the trade off is its vulnerability to black spot in hot, humid climes. It forms a neat shrub to about
3 feet high. Winter hardy to zone 6. Recommended by unknown forum member.
