The Fragrant Rose List

Submission Guidelines
  • Roses submitted must be roses you grow yourself or have grown yourself previously.

  • Photographs submitted must be original photographs taken by the persom submitting, or must be accompanied by a letter from the owner of the photograph granting permission for the photograph's use, along with that person's contact information (email, phone or snail).

  • Longer writeups about the rose are preferred. Include as much deatil about color, flower form, fragrance, growth habit, foliage, disease resistence, frequency of rebloom if applicable, etc.

  • Please include the zone or city/state where the rose in question was grown (or multiple locations if you have grown it in different places.

  • If you have more information about any rose already listed, please send it along. Everyone's input, from all over, is most welcome. If a rose touted as performing well in addition to being smelly does terribly in your zone/soil/climate, let it be known.

  • Please do not ask me to list a rose that your neighbor's sisters cousin's uncle's ex-wife's mother told you was the most fragrant thing she'd ever smelled.

  • Please do not ask me to post a picture you found on a google search or on some website while you were browsing around.

    Thank you!
